The Story Behind the Smoke
During the long lockdown days, I spent many hours watching my son Dylan’s favorite show “Kitchen Nightmares” and came up with a great idea that I could operate out of my Event Venue – Vienna of Roslyn.
So, the Entrepreneur in me started to think, what could possibly be my concept?! I quickly realized that one thing I love and noticed that Roslyn didn’t have is… Authentic Barbecue! And at that moment, the idea behind Uncle Steve’s House of BBQ, was born.
Dedication to Quality
Since Quality has always been my top priority, I knew if I was venturing into the world of barbecue, it had to be notches above the normal fare!
I focused on creating a high-end, family style BBQ with only the finest quality ingredients, made to order. That was my mission.
The MAn for the Job
My search now turned to who could smoke me up the best ‘Q possible, which led me to a local dad that I know could bring so much to the table!
Matthew Birnbaum Grew up in Roslyn and went to Brown U before becoming a Chef and working for Bobby Flay, Mario Batali and Jonathan Waxman. He also managed the commissary for the first Shake Shack.
With My Passion to build and create, paired with Matthew’s Love for the Grill, Together we are stoked to once again create an amazing culinary experience right here in the heart of Roslyn.
